MFR CEO, Maria Roberts receives 2020’s Most Admired CEO by the Philadelphia Business Journal
MFR is pleased to announce that our President and CEO, Maria Frizelle Roberts has been named one of 2020’s Most Admired CEO by the Philadelphia Business Journal. The honorees were selected for their demonstration of the skills needed to lead their companies into the future and for their ongoing commitment to the Philadelphia region through their philanthropic and civic work. Since founding the Philadelphia-based MFR Consultants in 1989, Ms. Roberts has grown the management and information technology consulting company to more than 40 employees in nine states. The company’s focus has grown to include business analysis, quality assurance, project management, information governance and information technology, support, and services for a range of clients.
In 2019, Ms. Roberts joined the board of directors for Merakey, a nonprofit focused on developmental health, behavioral health, and education. Ms. Roberts also serves as the co-chair of the Economy League’s Philadelphia Anchors for Growth and Equity (PAGE) initiative, a partnership between the Economy League, the City of Philadelphia and more than a dozen Philadelphia-area institutions that works to increase local purchasing by large institutional buyers to grow Philadelphia businesses, strengthen the local economy, create jobs, and build wealth.
Ms. Roberts started her career as a registered nurse (RN) then earned a graduate degree in business and public health. Health and welfare of others has always been a primary concern of Ms. Roberts who worked previously as director of a large public health agency and for a national managed care organization.
